OUR HISTORY
EnviroSure, Inc. was founded in 2006 to help corporations and municipalities assess and address environmental concerns. Over the years, EnviroSure has developed into a reliable and trusted partner in delivering timely assessments and solutions. This successful business model has resulted in the company’s steady growth, resulting in 3 office locations providing services across Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York.
2006
Scott Smith, EnviroSure President and CEO, founded the company to fulfill a lifelong goal of owning and operating a business. Alongside his SCORE mentors, Smith leveraged his background in professional engineering, project management, and sales to develop the strategies required to launch EnviroSure into a highly competitive environmental consulting landscape.
2007
EnviroSure was recognized by the Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Journal as one of the fastest growing firms.
2008
EnviroSure hired its first employees: a part-time office manager, an accountant, a part-time geologist, and a project manager.
2009
With the slowdown in the commercial market, Smith formed an Advisory Board and developed a business plan to diversify offerings into the federal market. EnviroSure exceeded its sales goal for the year.
2011
Annual sales doubled and EnviroSure was awarded the SCORE Small Business Achievement Award.
2013
EnviroSure began focusing on the commercial sector. This triggered a significant revision to the business plan, financial objectives, and business growth. With an SBA loan, Smith purchased a new building in West Chester, PA to support the growth in business and personnel.
2015
EnviroSure was awarded a significant environmental project for the Coatesville Gateway Redevelopment Site, and the company opened a satellite office in New Jersey to support environmental projects in the New Jersey and New York area. EnviroSure completed its 1,000th successful environmental project in 2015.
2016
EnviroSure celebrated 10 years of business by opening a satellite office in Philadelphia, PA to support the surge in real estate development in Philadelphia and the associated need for environmental due diligence, investigation, and remediation.
2017
EnviroSure opened a full-time office in Shrewsbury, New Jersey and hired a sales professional to grow the New Jersey market.
2018
EnviroSure added a New Jersey operations manager to support growth in the New Jersey market.
2019
EnviroSure received Delaware Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act (HSCA) and underground storage tank (UST) closure company certifications and started a concerted push into the Delaware market.
2020
EnviroSure acquired Environmental Testing, Inc. (ETI), an environmental consulting and management company based in Middletown, DE to better serve the Mid-Atlantic. ETI had over 30 years of experience as leaders in the industrial hygiene and indoor hazardous materials testing market with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) accredited field professionals. This acquisition established EnviroSure as a fully integrated, full-service environmental firm while expanding its business securely into the Delaware and Maryland markets.
2021
EnviroSure leveraged the ETI acquisition by cross training personnel to conduct a full range of services throughout the Mid-Atlantic. EnviroSure completed its 3,000th successful environmental project and 10th straight profitable year.
2022
EnviroSure moved its West Chester, PA office to Malvern, PA and Delaware office to a new location in Middletown to better support its growing professional staff and to allow quick access to major roadways.
2023
EnviroSure’s New Jersey operations moved to Marlton, NJ for a central location covering all of New Jersey and providing easy access to Philadelphia, PA. EnviroSure launched Property Condition Assessment services.
